Late snow in Wales and the best walk I have had in a long time

Friday night 10pm, two hours late leaving, do I want to get in the car and drive in to the sleet and rain to Wales?
Well I haven't been walking since I had my knee done last year, and Metcheck says the weather will be good, so I have to go.
A pint in the bar revives the spirits, but the morning dawns wet and miserable.  A cold drive over to Idwal cottage and lo and behold the rain stops, and as we climb out of the valley and in to the snow the sun comes out.
Tryfan and the Glyders are stunning in the snow.  I have an abiding image of a young couple with two black labradors bounding down the hill through the snow towards us - it's just such fun!
I have a new screen saver on the PC - I thought I should share it with you.
